LAKA LIVING
Šumava National Park
Laka Living is an exceptional project in the heart of Šumava National Park. It is a combination of modern architecture and traditional natural materials to create a place for peaceful living with all the comforts within easy reach of the Sumava nature.
Right from the very beginning we decided to remove the existing building "former company", which stands out from the scale of the existing buildings. In its place, we designed two smaller houses that are oriented towards each other and thus relate to the natural urban structure of the village.
LAKA LIVING
Both houses have a simple mass on a rectangular ground plan with a gable roof complemented by pitched dormers, the facade is articulated by alternating areas of wooden cladding made of larch slats, natural stone and light plaster. The roof covering is designed in natural slate. The façade is cut by glazed areas in wooden frames, which provide abundant light and connect the interior and exterior spaces. Traditional materials are combined with a modern technical solution with an emphasis on the quality of all details.
In addition to the houses themselves, the design of the parterre - paved areas, greenery and furnishings - is an integral part of the design.
This is the fifth joint project with the investor and the main contractor Gyoza. Compared to the previous ones, it is a relatively smaller project, which means that it will be even more focused on details and quality of workmanship.
